EVERY HERO NEEDS ONE

You teach.
We’ll grade.

Snap a photo of a math page and Homeschool Sidekick grades it in about a minute. Hand them Level Up Spelling and never read a list aloud again. And one glance tells you who’s on track.

Homeschooling is full of good hours. Grading isn’t one of them.

You didn’t start homeschooling to check worksheets at 10 p.m., read the same spelling list out loud for the fortieth time, or try to remember who still can’t borrow across a zero. Those jobs have to get done, and none of them can be done with your child. So we do them.

We do the chores. You get the gold stars.

EVERY CHILD, AT A GLANCE

Who’s on track. Who needs you. Before your coffee’s cold.

Every graded page and every spelling game feeds one record per child. Sidekick turns it into a sentence you can act on, so the afternoon goes where it’s needed.

  • June’s behind. I’d never have known from the stack.
  • Nora’s at 95%. She’s fine, and I can tell her so.
  • Eli’s missing three in ten. That’s where I sit down today.
The parent's dashboard: a greeting, this week's count, the gold on-track sentence with what Sidekick did this month under it, and a tile for each child with a Math door (their lesson, how it's going, the goal) and a Spelling door (their level and the goal).

FOR YOUR KIDS

Their own home, and their results right away.

Children get a home screen of their own, on their own sign-in or yours with “Use as” on a shared tablet.

  • Results the moment they’re done

A graded page shows up on their home as soon as it’s marked, so they see what they got and what to fix while it’s fresh.

  • Read to me

Word problems they leave blank because of the reading are read aloud, and the second grading of the page is free.

  • A sidekick of their own

Seven characters: No. 2 the pencil from the start, six more to unlock by mastering spelling levels, and gear from the Power Shop bought with energy they earn.

Slash, the ink-slinger: a red marker in a top hat

A WORD FROM THE VILLAIN

Mwahaha. I am Slash. I hoard the problems your children miss and the words they can’t spell, and I make them win every one back. Your children think they’re beating me. You and I know what they’re really doing. Our secret.

ANY DAY, ANY TIME

Know what to teach this week. Any day of the week.

Open the app and it’s all there: who’s on track, what’s mastered, what came back, what’s worth a review. Sunday evening the Gold Star Report lands in your inbox too, so the week is planned before it starts.

Sunday's email, the Gold Star Report: 14 pages graded, 31 words mastered, and a line for each child on math and spelling.

Not a curriculum. Not a tutor. Your sidekick.

You pick the curriculum.

Sidekick grades any printed math page. Math-U-See is fully graded, with lesson-aware reports; The Good and the Beautiful and Master Books have their numbers and choices graded, with activities left to you. Using another book? Sidekick grades its numbers today, and the books families ask for most are built next.

You do the teaching.

We never replace your lessons; we point you back to them (“Review Lesson 8”).

We do the chores.

Questions parents ask

Is this a curriculum?

No. You keep the curriculum you chose and you do the teaching. Sidekick handles the grading, the spelling practice and the record-keeping.

Will it work with our math books?

If it’s a printed math page, Sidekick can grade it. Math-U-See is fully graded, and reports use your lesson names (“Delta Lesson 8”). With The Good and the Beautiful and Master Books, numbers and choices are graded, and the coloring, drawing and say-aloud activities are left to you. We’re adding more curricula.

How accurate is it?

Sidekick reads the handwriting, then checks every answer with real math. When it can’t read something clearly, it asks you instead of guessing, and you can change any mark with one tap.

Is it AI?

Yes. AI reads the handwriting; our code checks the math. When code can’t check an answer, Sidekick settles it for you unless you turn that off, and you always have the final say.

What about my children’s privacy?

We store only a first name or nickname and the pages you upload. Nothing on the page needs a name for us to grade it, and nothing we read is kept beyond the marks and the record. The full-size photo is deleted a week after the page is graded, and the smaller copy after the window you choose (90 days unless you change it). You can export or delete everything at any time.

Do my kids need their own accounts?

No. You can grade and play everything from your own sign-in, and “Use as” hands a shared tablet to a child, with your family PIN to switch back. Give a child a username and password only if they’ll use their own device; it takes a few seconds.

Can I add my own spelling words?

Yes. Level Up Spelling comes with 100 levels of words built in, so your child can start right away, and in Family lists you can add your own: this week’s list from your curriculum, or the words your child keeps tripping on.

How many children can I add?

As many as you have, on every plan. Plans are priced by pages, not by children: Family includes 150 graded pages a month for the whole family.

Why is Family $7.95 right now?

Homeschool Sidekick is new, and the first families to use it shape what it becomes. So families who sign up by December 31 get Family for $7.95 a month instead of $9.95, for as long as they keep the plan. Spelling is $4.95 for everyone.

What is a Slash battle?

The exact problems your child missed, to win back from Slash. They play it in the app, one problem at a time, or work it on paper and you snap it; every fixed problem is marked “won back” on their record; one still missed is marked “still practicing,” so you know it still needs you.

Does it read the problems to my child?

Yes, for word problems. A child who can’t read yet leaves them blank, takes the photo, and finds each one on their home with a “Hear it” button. They solve it in the book, snap the page again, and the second grading is free.

What happens when the trial ends?

Every new family gets 10 days of spelling and 30 graded math pages, with no card. Math grading pauses after your 30th page or on day 10, and spelling pauses on day 10. Nothing is charged, because we never asked for a card. To keep going, choose Family for math and spelling, or Spelling on its own. Your children’s records stay, and any pages you snap in the meantime wait and are graded as soon as you choose Family.
